| 1. Changes (September 24, 2001): The good Reverend's stress level rises when he learns that Matt has lost his job at the hospital and is relying on his pals to find him a new job. Simon adds to the tension by pressuring his dad to let him get his learner's permit. Lucy just cries in her room and refuses to dicuss what happened in new York between her and Jeremy. Even lodger Robbie, still longing for Mary, is moping around the house. To top it all off, Annie's odd behavior has Eric wondering what's going on with her. |
| 2. Teased (October 1, 2001): Simon stands up for a bullied student only to have the boy tell him that he is going to shoot his tormentors. Robbie gives Ruthie a playful nickname and she comes up with a less-pleasant one for Lucy. Meanwhile, Eric gets a visit from an old female friend with family issues of her own. |
| 3. Sympathy (October 8, 2001): Simon considers dating a 16-year-old pregnant girl he meets on a bus. Annie accepts Robbie's offer to rent the room over the Camden's garage that both Lucy and Matt had their eye on. meanwhile, a stranger appears to injure himself in the Camden driveway. |
| 4. Work (October 15, 2001): Eric tries to arrange a romantic evening alone with Annie, but she rebukes his every attempt. Meanwhile, Simon's tardiness and poor people skills put his job in jeopardy; Robbie sets Lucy up on a date with one of his friends; and Matt is concerned about a woman who keeps showing up at the clinic. |
| 5. Relationships (October 22, 2001): Annie begins teaching and inadvertently gives a student bad advice. Matt's girlfriend comes to Eric for guidance on their relationship, but she misinterprets the Reverend's input. Meanwhile, Simon is attracted to a girl dating one of his friends; and a firefighter trainee shows interest in Mary. |
| 6. Broken (November 5, 2001): Lucy and Robbie argue over who should tell Mary about their emerging relationship, and Matt worries that a young woman in his study group might be a victim of physical abuse at the hands of her belligerent boyfriend. Elsewhere, Eric's sister shows up at the house with her toddler and annoys Annie as she tries to prepare a lesson for her class. |
| 7. Prodigal (Novemeber 12, 2001): The Cmden house gets a little more crowded when Mary returns and tell her family that she's home to stay. Mary's sudden arrival has everyone in the family wondering what happened between her and Wilson. Her presence delights Annie who goes out of her way to make her daughter comforable, even offering her the conveted garage apartment. But not everyone is happy to see her. Ruthie feels that Mary owes everyone an apology for the actions that led to her initial ouster from the Camden home. |
| 8. Ay Carumba (November 19, 2001): Matt, Lucy, Simon, and Ruthie are banished to the garage apartment after protesting Annie's decision to give the give to Mary, but then the roommates begin voting each other out as each member vies for sole ownership. Elsewhere, Robbie is nervous about meeting his new girlfriend's parents. |
| 9. Lost (November 26, 2001): Mary and Lucy ask their parents to find new boyfriends (and potential husbands) for both of them. Robbie argues with Joy about spending so much time together when she insists on seing him right away. Meanwhile, Simon and Matt use the twins to attract women. |
| 10. Consideration (Decemeber 10, 2001): Annie's father shows up for a weekend visit. But Eric forgot to tell his wife about it, and nearly everyone in the Camden household is too busy to spend time with the elderly man. meanwhile, Eric lies to Annie about his plans for the day, which includes a trip to the Genoak Hospital. |
| 11. Pathetic (January 14, 2002): Annie quits her teaching job without dicussing it with Eric first; and Mary calls Wilson and learns from his landlord that he has moved out of his apartment. Meanwhile, Simon uses Robbie's car to practice driving and he accidentally smashes into Matt's vehicle. |
| 12. Suspicion (January 21, 2002): The Camden family tries to help a young friend of Ruthie's in this examination of religious intolerance. After various personal effects disappear from the house, the family finds Ruthie in the garage apartment entertaining a friend (Ashley Solomon) with the pilfered items. The would-be bandit explains that she is hiding her pal from a pair of older boys, who have been harassing the girl because of her Muslim background. Touched by her plight, Mary and Lucy try to get their neighbors to sign a petition in support of the girls family. Matt and Simon, however, decided on a less civic solution and go hunting for the perpetrators. |
| 13. Drunk (February 4, 2002): Simon persuades his parents to let him go to a party after they meet his friend, a senior who promises to look out for him; Matt gets mail from two medical schools that he applied to but he's hesitant to open the letters. Meanwhile, Mary and Lucy take the same classes at an area college. |
| 14. Hot Pants (February 11, 2002): Valentine's Day delivers a few surprises for the Camdens as a grounded Simon is asked out by a senior; Mary discovers Robbie's plans with Joy; and Lucy runs into her ex-fiance outside one of her classrooms. Elsewhere, Matt seeeks his father's help with his love life, and Ruthie is hesitant to go to a party. |
| 15. I Really Do (February 25, 2002): Matt and Sarah (Sarah Danielle Madison) meet at the clinic and begin dating. They go out to have dinner, and Matt proposes to Sarah, after only just meeting her. Meanwhile, anxiety is high in the Camden household when everyone learns that Matt is seriously seeking a lifelong mate. |
| 16. I Really Did (March 4, 2002): Matt stays out all night with Sarah and a worried Annie tries to calm Eric, who is convinced that Matt did something foolish. Meanwhile, Lucy and Mary search for Ruthie because they suspect that she knows what really happened during Matt's night out. Matt and Sarah decide to keep their marriage a secret from their families, and they tell them that they are engaged instead. |
| 18. The Ring (April 22, 2002): Matt and Sarah argue over their wedding plans and their agreement to forego buying an engagement ring. Mary and Lucy fly to Buffalo where Mary hopes to meet an ex-boyfriend, but their trip takes an unexpected turn after they reach their destination. |
| 17. Lip Service (April 15, 2002): Annie frantically cooks Jewish dishes as the Camdens prepare to head out for dinner with Sarah's family, while Lucy schemes to skip the outing so she can stay home with Robbie. Meanwhile, Simon asks Matt and Sarah if he can bring his friend Morris to the dinner. |
| 19. Letting Go (April 29, 2002): Mary startles her father by appearing in the Camden kitchen at 2AM with two young men, who spend the rrest of the night in the living room with Mary and Lucy. meanwhile, Eric suspects that Ruthie knows a secret about Matt and Sarah. |
| 20. The Known Soldier (May 6, 2002): The US led war on terrorism hits home for the Camdens when Ruthie corresponds with a marine in Afghanistan who loses his life in a helicopter crash. Ruthie writes to SSgt. Dwight J Morgan as part of a class project and shares the letters with her family. The Camdens then learn of Morgan's death and Eric presides over a memorial for the serviceman. |
| 21. Holy War, Part Two (May 20, 2002): Matt and Sarah lament Eric's decision not to attend the nuptials following his argument wuth Rabbi Glass over Matt's conversion to Jadaism. Hoping to patch things up between their fathers, Matt and Sarah seek their mother's help in persuading the holy men to put aside their differences before it's too late. Meanwhile, Robbie tries to figure out why Ruthie wants him to move out of the Camden household. |

Holy War, Part One (May 13, 2002): Matt and Eric meet with Rabbi Glass to dicuss plans for the wedding and Eric learns that his role is smaller than expected. meanwhile, Simon is convinced that Matt will ask him to be his best man and Ruthie tells Robbie that she wants his room for herself after Matt moves out. |
