The Hanetes are a group I wrote up one day when incredibly bored. I found various friends to roleplay various characters - it's a way to connect the people I enjoy roleplaying with most, and to give people something new and not-so-complicated to play. So, here ya go.
Background:
The Hanete family is a rather large group of elves brought together by the unlikely love of two; Jesylie, a wild-elf, and Tyrel, a sylvankind. Their marraige unioned two unpredictable families, and they themselves produced many of their own offspring. Due to their wandering ways, they are hardly ever at home, and the raising of the younger siblings is usually left to the oldest boys still living at home... Stephyn and Danyl, twins of the age of twenty four. However, they are not the oldest children of the two - the other two older ones have simply left home and pursued their own careers and lives.
The Hanete family is rather large, and very midevial-based - they co-exist with scifi and modern rp, but most of those in the family have chosen not to embrace the modern/futuristic world, keeping mostly to themselves. As a whole, they love nature, and are very intelligent, quick-witted beings.
They are usually rather tan, and most have dark hair, though some are born blonde - and, due to the fact that the family is quite outdoorsy, many of them have blonde highlights sunbleached into their hair - or, where their hair would normally become darker as they grow older, their time in the sun makes it blonde. A couple of the children actually have auburn hair - that is, dark brown-red locks. Their eye color varies, from blue to green to violet to brown. They're generally very slender beings - it's hard for them to keep too much fat on their frames, due to how active they are.

Jesylie met Tyrel when scavenging for berries in the forest. They almost immediately fell in love; and as neither of their families truly opposed the other race, they were permitted to marry. Jesylie is carefree and often the one who encouraged her and Tyrel's 'forages into the world'. She's quite proud of the fact that her children can 'take care of themselves'. Due to the fact that she loves her children desperately, she'd do anything for them, even stay home - but they love her as well, and encourage her to do as she will. She and Tyrel encourage creativity, but also want their children to be well-learned, and are often bringing home various literatures in different languages for them to learn, as well as all sorts of new skills to teach to their offspring.

More quiet and reserved than his mate, not much is known about the man. Her antics forever amuse the shy male. Before he met Jesylie, he was a hunter, and so he insisted that all of his children know how to use at least one weapon, for protection purposes. He says the only time he truly feels happy is when Jesylie is beside him, and often loses himself in his painting or writing. Indeed, he's very much the romantic soul, and something of a poet. When he was growing up, his parents never encouraged his artistic creative side much at all, so he encourages his children as much as possible, prodding them to be as imaginative as possible.

Very laid-back and pacifistic, Jakob chose to pursue the role of Healer when he was very young. He was forever finding animals with broken limbs and binding them up, making them feel better, and always reading books on alchemy and healing. He found, however, that the most fascinating of creature were dragons, and he is something of a 'dragon doctor', now - specializing in the anatomy and healing of dragons. Due to the fact that their aren't many of his type around, most all the dragons absolutely adore him. Every now and then, Jakob drops by the rather expansive house that serves as their home, if only to check up on his family.

A member of one of the two twin sets in the family, Danyl and his twin brother are very attractive, with dark brown hair and sunbleached blonde highlights, cobalt-blue eyes and a slightly boyish smile. He's almost always outdoors, often doing odd jobs to help keep food on the table, and when he can't afford it, he hunts for game, adept - as many of the family are - with his bow and arrow. Danyl's very much a pacifist, and would sooner keep quiet than to say something to rile someone up. He's more often the quiet observer, and that's usually where he draws the insparation to write for his songs. He and his sister Adele are incredibly close, and are forever teasing each other about everything and anything they can.

He poured energy into drumming, into drawing, to forget his lot in life. Drawing little snapshots of other people's lives, glamourous and impossible things. Sponaneous, eccentric, just plain weird - these are words that come to mind when one thinks of Adele. She often goes on and on about things that seem insane to everyone else, but make perfect sense in her own little world. She seems to be perpetually amused by life, the universe, and everything. She'll change clothes on a whim - she has a variety of peircings, and she throws on 'whatevers comfortable AND looks good'. Somehow, no matter what the odd combination of colors, it comes out looking good. She thinks men are inherently idiots, and often uses Danyl as an example... though, for some reason, the two are almost painfully close. For instance, when they were younger, a girl that Danyl was dating left him for Adele, and Danyl couldn't help but continously tease Adele about how 'she loved the c*** first.' Anyone listening to the two would find that they make almost no sense... unless you know them just that well.

Christophyr is your typical angsty punk. He hates the world, he hates life, and he loves jamming on his guitar. He's probably one of the first ones of his family to embrace the modern world and he adores punk rock, and aspires to be 'as punk as possible'. Soon enough he'll realize that means being yourself, rather than being what the world wants you to be. A rebel, he often states that he 'hates his family', even though he doesn't. As he grows up, he'll change more into a true punk instead of that which the world defines as punk. Loki's real name is 'Louis', but he was given the nickname 'Loki' due to his uncanny knack for causing mischeif and various sorts of chaos. Oh, sure, he'll eventually grow out of the 'clumsy' stage, but that name will probably stick with him for years to come. He's very outgoing, and very modest, though that's sure to change. Come puberty, he'll probably become much like his older brother, Chris. Already he's found that he loves listening to that 'punk' music that's always pouring out of Chris's speakers. Where Tori loves art, Yari adores music, and can often be found in her room, happily plunking away at the small piano Danyl found in the marketplace for her. She's a shy child, though she's incredibly intelligent... she just keeps to herself, most of the time. More often than not she's following her twin, often Tori's 'lackey' for whatever she wants to do. However, this often leaves Yari alone, for when Tori gets distracted, Yari's usually quite happy doing whatever it is she's doing, and is thusly left behind. Anytime she's not with her twin, she's usually locked away somewhere in the house with Danyl, and him teaching her how to play new instruments.
