Laura walked into Remington's apartment, which they now lived. She fell to the couch, exausted. Remington came out of the kitchen, wiping his hands in a towel, and tossing it over his shoulder.
"How was it today?" he asked.
"Tiring," Laura replied, "these last minute wedding preparations are a killer, did you get yours finished okay?"
"Yeah, I just got in about an hour ago, and decided to start dinner." Remington walked up to Laura who was rubbing her neck.
"Smells great," Laura replied.
"Sore?" Remington asked, gently rubbing her shoulders.
"Very, my mother and Frances can drive a person crazy sometimes," she paused, "oh, that feels good."
"Hungry?" Remington asked as kissed her neck.
"Starving," she replied.
"Good, it's almost done, how about you go take a quick shower, and dinner should be ready by the time you get out okay," Remington suggested.
"Okay," Laura agreed.

Laura got out of the shower just as the phone rang. Remington answered it.
"Laura, it's for you can you talk?" he asked through the door. Laura came out of the bedroom in Remington's favourite robe, he smiled at the sight of her in it.
"Who is it?" she asked.
"Our dear friend, Mr. Roselli," he answered sarcastically.
"What?" Laura grabbed the phone, "hello?"
"Laura, I missed you in Ireland," Tony replied.
"I was preoccupied," Laura answered.
"I'd like to see you again."
"I'm sorry Tony, I'm getting married in two days, and I don't think my husband would approve," she paused, "besides, I don't want to see you anymore, goodbye." Laura said and hung up the phone, Remington smiled. "Well, that takes care of him," Laura replied. "How about dinner?"

The next morning, Laura woke up alone in the bed. Her and Remington agreed that they should sleep in separate beds until their wedding night. Actually, I was Remington who suggested it, which surprized Laura. Since she had sold her loft, Laura insisted the two of them take turns on the couch, thank goodness her turn was over, the couch had to be the most uncomfortable thing one could sleep on. Remington would have the bed that night, and she would be spending the night at Mildred's. Then her and Remington would finally be married. She still couldn't believe she was going to marry Remington Steele, the man who didn't understand the meaning of commitment. Didn't Laura repeated to herself, she had seen him change a lot over the years, he was very different from the man who assumed Remington Steele's identity only five years earlier.
She got out of bed, and followed her nose to the wonderful smell that came from the kitchen.
"Good morning," Remington said cheerfully. He walked over to Laura, and kissed her cheek.
"Morning, something smells good."
"French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon."
"Great, I'm starving," Laura replied rubbing her stomach, "I'm so glad, all the wedding preparations are done, now we can finally relax."
"Laura, don't forget we have the wedding rehersal, today at 2 o'clock."
"Oh your right, I forgot about that minor detail," she laughed. "Well, don't forget I'll be going to Mildred's tonight so you'll have the bed all to yourself."
"Good, I don't think I can stand another night on that bloody couch," Remington complained.
Laura laughed as she grabbed plates to set the table with, and headed to the dining room.

Abigail Holt was helping her daughter with her hair, as Frances was fixing up her dress. Mildred was going over last minute instructions with the bridesmaids, who were all chattering away. Laura felt like she was going to explode, there were too many people around here, she needed some air. She excused herself, and stepped out into the hall for a minute.
She walked over to the window, and looked out into the churchyard, where Remington was talking with his best man Monroe. The guests were taking their seats, and the band was playing the familiar tune that her and Remington danced to while on a case, looking for "the Trap Man" in San Fransisco a couple years ago. Laura smiled at the memory.
"Laura, Laura!?"
Laura turned around, when she heard her name.
"Tony? What are you doing here?"
The door opened and Mildred came out of the dressing room, "Laura, hon-" she saw Tony, "what are you doing here?" She asked glaring at him.
"I need to talk to Laura, alone," Mildred looked to Laura.
"It's okay Mildred, give us a minute." Laura assured her friend. Mildred nodded and left.
"Laura, you look beautiful," Tony said turning back to Laura.
"What do you want Tony, I'm getting married soon," Laura replied ignoring his comment.
"I know that's why I'm here, to stop you. Laura, I want to ask you to marry me."
"You? Why should I?"
"Because I love you, Laura, and you deserve better than Steele."
"Better? Like who, you?"
"Yes," Tony replied.
"Go to hell, Tony! You aren't even half the man Remington is, you can't even compare! I don't know what I ever saw in you! Now get out of here, and out of my life! I don't ever want to see you, AGAIN!" She said firmly, while trying to keep her cool.
"You heard the lady Antony, get out!" Remington said standing on top of the stairs, Mildred and Monroe behind him.
"Monroe, would you show this univited guest to the door, before I have to introduce his face to my fist," Remington said turning to his friend.
"Gladly Mic," Monroe grabbed Tony's arm, and led him down the stairs, with Mildred following closely behind.
Remington turned back to Laura, who was wiping her eyes. "Laura, are you okay, what's wrong?" Remington asked putting his arms around her. She wrapped her arms tightly around his waist.
"I wanted our wedding to be perfect," she cried softly.
"It will be love, let's not let that rat ruin our day," Remington said softly, "by the way, did I tell you, you look especially lovely today," he said kissing her cheek, "actually, you look beautiful."
Laura smiled, he knew just what to say to cheer her up.
"Mr. Steele! What are you doing here," Abigail Holt exclaimed, coming out of Laura's dressing room. "Don't you know it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding! Well, go on!"
Remington turned to the stairs, as Abigail pulled Laura back into the dressing room. Laura gave Remington one last look, he mouthed the words 'I love you', before he continued down the stairs.

"Do you Remington, take Laura..." the priest was saying, but Remington was lost in thought, he couldn't belive it, he was actually getting married, rather, he actually wanted to get married, and he couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life with Laura.
"I do," Remington said when the priest finished, "for now and forever," he added.
Laura smiled.
"Do you Laura, take Remington..." It's happening, we are actually going to get married, and no one is going to stop us, not even Remington himself, Laura thought to herself.
"I do," Laura replied, smiling at Remington.
"You may now kiss the bride," the priest told Remington. He lifted her veil, gently lifted her face to his, and kissed her. They parted, and turned to walk back down the aisle, and back into the church.
When the doors shut behind them, Remington pulled Laura into his arms. "We did it," he kissed her.
"Well Laura, is this enough of a commitment for you?"
"Yes, Mr. Steele, I believe it is," Laura giggled and kissed him again.
"Well, Mrs. Steele," he offered her his arm, "shall we?"
"What?"
"Get started on our honeymoon of course."
"Excellent idea, Mr. Steele, excellent idea." She smiled, taking his arm.
