I know right now it seems like I don't care
I know you think I never did
And it's so hard for me to prove that I'm still here
Because my actions contradict it...

Forever Robyn is a site that I created in 1998, when I was twelve years old. When I realized that very few American websites for Robyn are still in existence, I decided to do my best to bring this site back. The original webpage is long gone and so is the old layout, but hopefully this new version will revive what once was.

You may remember Robyn's debut album, Robyn Is Here, or her catchy singles, "Do You Know (What It Takes)," "Show Me Love," and "Do You Really Want Me." The album was recorded in 1995 and was finally released in the U.S. in 1997 on RCA Records. All three singles were in the top ten on U.S. Billboard charts, the former two were number one hits, and the album was certified platinum by the RIAA. Robyn was gaining legions of American fans and seemed to have a promising career ahead of her. American music critics predicted that she would follow the success of Swedish artists like ABBA, Ace of Base, and the Cardigans.

What happened next? To American fans, it would seem that Robyn had disappeared off the face of the earth. She never released another album. However, in Sweden, she continued to release new albums: My Truth, in 1999, Don't Stop the Music, in 2002, and Robyn, in 2005. Robyn remains hugely successful in Sweden and throughout Scandinavia but sadly, in the United States, she has been almost completely forgotten.

This site is not meant to be a full-blown fan site. If you want more in-depth information, please see the links page. Really, the reason I have decided to revive Forever Robyn is in the off-chance that anyone remembered this site from back in the day and wanted to find out what happened to it. I made it with American fans in mind, because the select few that remember Robyn deserve to know what happened to her. So, in short: she's still around, still making music, and still going strong unfortunately, just not here.

Next time I come around
I promise I won't let you down
But now I'm long gone...
