"As she danced, her rhythm became the rhythm of earth.... as she cried tears of happiness the stars of the midnight sky were born..... and you stood, smiling..."

Each and every woman on the planet perceives goddess differently. For some, she is Kuan Yin, for others, she is Oshun, and some may call her Bridget.... but whatever her shape or form, she is always with us.

She is guiding us to better ourselves everyday, and to carry out her work, protecting the Earth. She carries us through times good and bad, happy and sad. She watches us mature from Maiden, to Mother, to Crone... and reminds us that life is full of wonderful experiences in each stage.

From her all things are born, and to her all things must return.

Its what we do in between that counts.
The Goddess and I!

My own calling came when i was in secondary school, in year 8 (eighth grade) I woke up one morning, and i just felt different, i couldnt expalin it. Suddenly, everything i had just taken for granted, became more important. I went outside, and i looked at the world in a way i never did before. I felt truly alive. The earth was no longer something i just walked on, it had a spirit, a soul, i was one with it, she was my mother, and i, her daughter.

It was also at this time that magic-tv shows like Sabrina and Charmed were just coming about, and movies like 'The Craft' were being released. I had long known i was 'different' but now i was prompted to really look into things i had long suspected were true, like magick.

The moment i discovered Wicca, i knew i had truly found my path and now, five years on, im still on it. Although at times i have strayed due to various personal issues and peer pressure, magick has always brought me back, and goddess has always been there for me.

Honouring and working with Goddess!

I always, always make time in my day to honour Goddess, normally last thing at night before i go to bed. I kneel at my altar, light a candle and thank her out loud for everything she has given me in that day, tell her what i have learnt from that day and, if its practical, leave an offering!

When im outside, even doing the most mundane of things, i take the time to look around me, really look. The flowers, the sky, the rain.... all sacred. I smile because they remind me that Goddess is with us every day, and that we are all Goddesses........ even though at times we may not feel like it. We must never forget that the power of the goddess is always around us, and that we can tap into it to manifest our desires.
