Why are the Himalayas so spiritual? What is their significance?

Mm. The Himalayas... the question is almost as large as the mountains themselves and I could answer that on many levels. From the third dimensional plane, any mountain has a spiritual component about it because, to the individual the mountain attains huge proportions that speak of the existence of the Creator. In your travels around the world you may have noticed that people who live in mountainous areas tend to be, by nature, humble people. They are very small in their environment and they understand well the relationship between themselves and their environment is tenuous and there must be something other than chance in their grasp of that tenure.

The Himalayas are a huge number of mountains put together, but it is more than that. There is the spirituality of the plains to the South that we know as India. Hundreds of millions of people living a total spiritual existence in every moment of their lives. Difficult to imagine for people of the West who have not visited that continent, but even the dust has Spirit in India and that must have an effect on people in the Himalayas. The fact that the holy River Ganges has its source in the Himalayas is like the major artery of flowing Spirit on Earth being born in that place. The tectonic plates that created the Himalayas... it was important that that happen to create the phenomenon of the Himalayas, to create this spiritual place. Mother Earth's evolvement has had a large part to play in the importance of the spirituality of the Himalayas.

What of China's involvement in Tibet?

Are you asking that question with an aspect of understanding the spirituality of the Himalayas?

Yes.

That is an interesting question. Everything that occurs on Earth occurs through highest wisdom. Even the Chinese invasion of Tibet, that is seen in Earth terms, depending on your politics or your positionality, as either a good thing or a bad thing; I would suggest to the observer, that one tries to transcend that interpretation of that involvement and see the Service it has provided. The Chinese soldiers may not have a personal perception of their role, the destiny they are playing out, but subconsciously they are providing a service in accordance with agreements made in Spirit to help maintain the purity of the Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. Part of the survival of Tibetan Buddhism is occurring because branches of that faith are now centred around the world.

After the closing of the temple at Llasa, the Tibetan Buddhists felt the need to find other places around the world in which to centre their faith and, as I say, it has had the effect of maintaining the purity of that faith. Without this Service the chances were that Tibetan Buddhism would have succumbed to the changes that have occurred in most theologies and religions throughout the history of the planet.

There is an enormous amount of karma that is being lived out in this change of energies and it is part of the essential evolvement of not only the Tibetan Buddhists but of the Chinese, as well.

It occurs to me that many libraries have been destroyed, in some ways it seems like a lot of that purity was destroyed at the same time.

That is an important part of the evolvement. In the same way that the library at Alexandria was destroyed. You are quite right, many of the essential teachings in the vaults at Llasa have been lost; but whilst humans hold the written word, where is the incentive for them to undertake the journey within? Do you see?

Yes, certainly.

I have a question regarding the people inhabiting the islands not far away from here known as Aia Tera Roa, or New Zealand. Do you have any idea what is in store for these people living on a thin island on the edge of two land mass plates in a time of volcanic activity? I'm not asking for anything specific, but why are these people willingly still there?

You speak of the land that is known as the Land of the Long White Cloud. It is a very special place. It is a very spiritual place and the people who live there are not well understood. Either the indigenous people or the people who have moved there more recently. But there is great karma being played out there as well, as there is in this country. But the Land of the Long White Cloud is a very special place and it serves to remind people throughout the world of the importance of the interplay between indigenous peoples and new settlers.

Whilst this is a small place and the population is small the lessons are clear. It is important that we honour not only the indigenous people for their understanding of Spirit from a tribal point of view and the importance that those lessons have for the more recent settlers, but also the recent settlers as they bring with them an energy that, for the indigenous people, is a little more difficult to understand, a lot more convoluted, but there is an energy there that will be understood in time to come.

The physical aspect of the Land of the Long White Cloud... what is likely to happen to it at the time of Earth changes, is not so easy for me to say because what happens there will be determined, largely, by the free will of the people. The interaction between these indigenous people and the more recent arrivals will affect how Earth changes manifest in that area... as will be the case in all other areas on the planet. You see, the Earth changes that are going to occur, are karmically linked. They will not be random in their effect, they will be linked to the collective karma of that national spiritual psyche, if you like. I find these tags a little difficult. There are different energies at play - as you know when you observe different parts of the world and the way people from those places behave collectively, there are different energies that collect in groups, in large groups of people - and that those energies have a karma, as do the individuals in those groups have karma. Earth changes will occur in accordance with the collective karma. It is interesting to note that in areas that are very lightly populated that Earth changes are likely to be somewhat minimal.

Getting back to the question about the Himalayas, part of the spirituality there can be demonstrated by the fact that the population is quite small. It is difficult, for example, for someone who would be looking for a large following to find a venue for a crowd in the Himalayas, if you see my point.

Thank you, that is reassuring.
