Dear Ms.Malika Oufkir,

 

          My name is Michelle Kang, and I live in a town on Long Island , New York . I¡¯m a 11^th grade student in high school, and I have just finished reading your biography, Stolen Lives, for a class assignment.

          I really wanted to say how much I enjoyed the book. Your descriptions were so vivid, and it was astonishing how much detail you remembered of the experience. The things you went through were so horrid and appalling, I have no idea how you and your family actually managed to survive in those conditions. How are all of your family members now? Do you, or did you, blame people for not taking any actions to help liberate you from the King¡¯s persecution? And, do you still keep in touch with people back in Morocco ? I thing the book mentioned that you have a daughter now. I hope she grows up happily and that your whole family will be able to live peacefully.
