*My favorite word – why? Draw a verbal snapshot

My favorite word is happy, because just the word it self makes you think of good things. Here’s a look at my picture of “happy”.

You are surrounded by your friends, family, and all your loved ones. You are not cold, you are not hot. The room you are all in is comfortable and filled with warm, bright light that seems to invite all to join in. There’s laughter, floating around the room. You get a bit of this fuzzy, light feeling in your head. There is still a lingering scent of the dessert you’ve all just had. Warm, syrupy flan, right out of the oven. You’re not full and you’re not hungry, but just right. You and your friends are having a conversation

Journal: Write a full paragraph on how you define truth (clear topic sentences, 3 examples, conclusion sentence)

How does one define truth? “Truth” is a word we often take for granted, without really stopping to think (thoroughly) what the word means. In one sense, truth means what actually happened, without distorting it in any way. For example, if a student took a piece of candy from the teacher’s desk, saying “the candy just disappeared” would not be the truth. In another sense, truth is being able to admit to yourself that what you did was wrong. If you were not the one who did the good deed and therefore do not deserve the reward for it, truth is being able to say/admit that you did not do it. Finally, truth is something that is morally “right”.
