New Works
I have to admit, were I not broke, I would not sell this one. It is a lovely piece, newly created on Jan. 29th. Featured is a hippocampus, which according to Greek mythology was the sea-horse that drew the water chariot of Poseidon, god of the sea. It is one of my personal favorite images. Within its belly, this version contains the element of wind, personified by a cloud blowing strongly. The piece is small, sealed and perfect for a wall hanging. The grain of the wood is smooth, pine and has a pleasant rose hue in some places. Overall, a beautiful piece. In these photos, it is hard to see it fully, as my own fabulous camera is having issues and I had to use an inferior one. The second photo is with the flash on, so that the nice gloss is visible. It is bordered by a dark brown self-contained frame. It will be fully sealed by Feb. 2nd, and ready to go.
$40.00.
"Gaia Among the Stars" . 24"x 7.5". An absolutely beautiful piece. A combination of pyrography, inca gold highlights, and texture. Click on the photo to go to her page. This one will be for sale, however, I will first see how she does in the Oswego Art Association's art contest. So, for now, price TBA. I will say that she will start at $100.00, if she places her worth will rise. This one took a lot of time to create, and the natural knot has been transformed into a very eye-catching jug. This one will get a lot of attention where ever you place it. Would be lovely in a dance studio, especially belly dance.
