About me...

I live in the small Upstate NY city of
Oswego, which is located on the turbulant shores of Lake Ontario. We have a port, a boisterous river, a wonderful coffeeshop, a nice little bookstore or two, and plenty of pubs. I tend to spend a bit of time at Coleman's, which is conveniently just an amble far. There is no better place than this area in the Spring, Summer or Fall. Even the winters, though sometimes very cold, are beautiful. Come visit!
As for my background, I am a first-generation Polish-American on my mother's side. She came to this country for a visit, and never went back. On my father's side, our surnames, Dielmann and O'Connor, easily betray our heritage. I live a kind of half-gypsy existance, but even so, I have managed to accumulate a Bachelors in English Writing Arts, and a Masters in Secondary Education, English, as well as the massive debt that comes from being both curious and poor.
I have a wonderful companion in these pastures; my partner, lover and best friend is one of the brightest parts of my life. He has a professional and impressive academic career, but he is also a laid-back, incredibly perceptive soul-poet, and the inspiration for my own song. We share our home with three cats and two ferrets, and a little blue fish that has an entire 55 gallon tank to himself.

Other interests include gardening, natural living, reading, writing poetry and the occasional fictional blurb and travel. I like cooking and enjoy baking.  I also enjoy vintage art and old music, and am plotting how exactly we will escape into the country and build the goat empire. Someone just give me a barn!

Well, that about sums me up. I hope you enjoyed your visit! Come again soon. :)
Me in London, and then, at the Sterling Renassiance Faire - AFTER getting soaked in the rain! A wool kilt really does do its job. Below, my recent graduation, with the love of my life :) .
