| On February 17, 2005, Forestville Military Academy held its 2nd quarter honor roll assembly "Passing the Torch: Keeping the Dream Alive". The PTSA, parents, staff, and students all came to this celebration to recognize all the FMA students that obtain at least a 3.00 G.P.A. The program begun with Master of Ceremonies Cadet Frederick Bunter, Jr. introducing the FMA Color Guard. The FMA Band, Choirs, and Drill Team provided great entertainment for the audiences. Colonel Stanley Turner delivered words of inspirations to the youth of FMA. As the guidance counselors called the names of the honorees, each came forward to obtain their certificate of achievement and students received a resounding clap of recognition for their hard work. FMA had three students that received a 4.00 G.P.A., sophomore, Jystin Barlowe; seniors, Alicia Newton and JiMia McClurkin. Special congratulations to LaJoy Johnson from the Class of 2006 for obtaining a 4.14 G.P.A.!!! FMA gave thanks to the parents that attended and have worked extremely hard to keep their child on the pathways to excellence. All the staff were proud of the accomplishments their students have made and encouraged others students to follow their peers' direction to greatness.
