Winter

The breezy wind blows through the leaves
They're held up high by lofty trees,
The wind does blow throughout the land
The wind does blow away the sand.

There is a new scent in the air
A seasons change does Nature dare,
The leaves turn brown and gold and all,
They turn to red and then they fall.

They swirl around in their descent,
Their destanation dirt was meant,
They flow until they stop their fall,
It seems that Fall has had a ball.

The wind keeps blowing off and on,
Until the leaves are almost gone;
The trees are left for all to see
They look as naked as a knee.

The skeletons of summer past
Are of the flora standing last;
Stark naked stading, humbling
They stand but are not bundling.

A cloud up in the sky is seen
As everyone is not so keen
To hide from Winter's mighty wrath
That covers each and every path.

The snow begins to fall so slow
It seems that snow does fall in rows
Upon the ground they choose to stay
And maybe higher, choose they may.

A bitter, biting wind starts up
As families inside do sup
Within their deadish looking trees
While they escape the vicious breeze.

The snow's descent it does not halt
It seems it's Mother Nature's fault
For freezing the entirety
To this the animals agree.

The freezing gales do swirl around
The falling snow it knows no bounds
It suffocates the life in here
It truly brings the creatures fear.

But there are some who revel here
Amidst the snow, they have the gear
To find salvation in this blight
They find that they don't mind its bite.

They walk amongst the quite fields
They talk in passing, do not yield
To Nature's wrath for they know not
What it is which they have fought.
