The time has come.Everyone gathered around the entrance of the vllage.Alicia, all prepared, was bidding farewell to her parents, the fairies and the village where she grown up in.

"It's time to go, Alicia." said the fairies.

Alicia looked at them, tears swelling up in her eyes.She will miss them, everyone,every single thing in the vilage.She turned and for the first time in her life, left the village.

The moment she stepped out of the village, the only thing Alicia could see was a huge forest.Miles and miles away, nothing but a sea of green.Alicia could sense something strange about the forest but she could not tell what it is.

"You will meet your companion for the journey at the borders of the forest."

Words of the green fairy drift past her mind.At first,she was happy about having a companion but not for now.What kind of companion could she find in a forest?Ever since young,she have heard of stories about the beasts and lurking in the forest.She surely do not want a monster for a companion! Alicia stood there thinking.Suddenly, someone tapped her shoulder.Alicia jumped and turned around.In front of her was a beauiful fairy which somehow resembled the green fairy.

"Do i remind you about the green fairy?I am her sister, the forest fairy." the fairy said softly.

"You are the forest fairy?"Alicia asked.

"Yes, my task is to introduce you to your companion.Follow me." said the forest fairy.

Alicia followed the fairy into a wooden cottage.As she stepped in, she saw a beautiful girl, same age as her.The girl was tall and tanned, brown shoulder length hair and emerald green eyes.

"Let me introduce you to your companion,Alicia, this is Jen who will accompany you throughout the journey with a mission same as yours."the fairy said.

Alicia looked into the direction of Jen and their eyes met,at that very moment, they knew that they are going to be the best of friends.Jen stepped forward and reached her hand out towards Alicia.Alicia took her hand and they shook hands, firmly.That marked the beginning of their friendship.

"Well, it' good to see that both of you have become friends so quickly.Come, sit down and i will tell you about the mission that you both have to accomplish."said the forest fairy.

Both of them sat down in front of the forest fairy and Alicia asked,"What mission is that?Does it take a long time to complete it?"

"Yes, my dear.This mission is not as easy as you think.Both of you have to go through many ordeals in this mission.Also, i can't tell you much about it.You have to find out what you have to do yourselves."the forest fairy replied.

As Alicia wanted to ask another question,Jen interrupted and ask,"How do we know what to do then,godmother?"

Her voice was the sweetest voice that Alicia had ever heard and she was surprised at the fact that Jen called the forest fairy as 'godmother'.

"Of course i will give you a headstart and for Alicia's information,Jen was an orphan,i raised her up in this little house and like you, she has never left this place before.Now back to our topic, the first thing both of you have to do is to find out your true identities."the forest fairy said.

"Our true identities?What do you mean by that?"Alicia asked.

What you are now might not be the truth, go on the journey and ask around, listen to stories, especially legends and the truth might be what you hear.The clue has something to do with your parents' origin and identities."the forest fairy replied.

The fairy continued,"That clue is for you Alicia and Jen, your clue is more simple as you know who your parents are but you have to find out the truth behind their deaths.Both of you will then come to know of your true identities and by that time, you will then understand what you have to do for the mission."

"So we go on the journey to find out what we have to do?"Alicia asked.

"Yes.Both of you are trained in both magic and the art of swordplay.I believe that both of you can go through all ordeals and accomplish the mission together.Now, the both of you should rest and your journey begins tomorrow."the fairy answered.

Jen bought Alicia into her room and said,"You can sleep here tonight, i will be with godmother.We'll have plenty of time to talk when we embark on the journey.Goodnight!"She smile and then left the room.

"Goodnight!"Alicia replied and then went to bed.
