Would you rather be free
than stuck here with me
would you rather live life
than this fantasy
would you like me to leave
and never come back
would you be happier
without having to look back
how can I make this
life easier on you
but leaving you is something
I just can't bring myself to do
I hate to see you
in so much pain
I hurts me to watch you
struggle with shame
I have nothing to give you
nothing ot offer
I feel like i'm losing
my very best friend
I can't stop your pain and suffering
I can't make you smile
I can't take today and make it tomorrow
I wish I could hold you
I wish I could see
I wish I could bring you
straight home with me
you have things to deal with
and pain to unfold
you have life to live
but your in a stranglehold
if you want to be free
if you want me to go
just tell me now
and I'll walk out the door
I'll try not to look back
I'll try not to remember
just know that I loved you
nothing can change that
