PRESIDENT'S REPORT

Into another busy year, and with membership still rising I know that it will be another bumper one for the club, and as you will see later there are already events on the calendar.
This year, look at bringing along friends, and as usual, if your Z car is not ready, take another set of wheels, it will be great to see you there.
Look back at events that you have taken part in, whether it's been Zephyr club related or not, and if you enjoyed it, suggest a similar event to Barry, Glenis or Jacqui, I'm sure they will take it up.
Perhaps you may know someone that has an interesting collection of anything - not necessarily associated with cars - that we may be able to visit.
If you have never had input before, give it a go - it will be appreciated - the more you put in the more you and others will get to enjoy the club.

Take care.

John Hull
President

GODFREY'S GOSSIP

Yes Godfrey is still here looking and listening to what's been going on.

MIKE CONSTANTINE'S Mark IV Zodiac has had the motor overhauled but still gave him, and the Australian driver a testing time over the Convention with what turned out to be a bent petrol pump arm.

GAVIN and MARILYN LADBROOK are away on an extended trip to Canada and the USA. He says he will not be tempted by any American Iron - but who knows.

MALCOLM STEWART is working hard on the Mark II Coupe with major surgery due on it

soon. He has been seen with a 'Mitsubishi', shame really.

PAUL MORLAND managed to get his Mark III Zodiac ready for the Convention - but only just - he made the final touches on the last morning and it looks really good.

Some people are real tigers for punishment. GEOFF TAYLOR also finished his Mark III Zodiac just in time for the Convention, and received a runner-up trophy for his efforts - Well done, Geoff. Now he has obtained a Mark III Estate - the second in the club. We look forward to seeing it soon!!

A few club members went across to Westport at Queens Birthday to the All Ford Weekend. PHIL ROOKE and GEOFF TAYLOR took Zephyrs but MALCOLM STEWART and DAVE HARKNESS arrived in some Japanese thing! Apparently the Zephyrs that were there took most of the prizes.

BOB STEVENS has been working hard on the Mark II, having completed the painting and ready to assemble most of the rest of the car - trouble is ANNE has dragged him off to Australia for a couple of weeks, stopping the re-assembly.

Other cars nearing completion include:
ROSS DOWNING'S Mark I convertible, BARRY GODDARD'S Mark II Zodiac and ROSS BRUNTON'S Mark I Consul we hope to see them all in the next few months.
