No power levels: Alot of people come in with these stats like SSJ8000000; we judge people's powers on how they battle, not a number. A number means nothing if you can't put up a good rp fight. And you are more likely to get ignored if you try and show off.

No auto hits in battle: it's not fair and shows poor sportmanship.

  • Addendum to Auto-Hit Rule: Any character who hasn't replied within 2 days of a posted attack will be considered hit by the attack 3rd day after the attack was posted. Only an administrator can grant permission to kill the character, and any Officer/Administrator may step in and control the character for a time if necessary for the progression of the storyline.
  • 2nd Addendum: Special characters, main villains, and main temporary characters leading a saga have auto-hit privileges. These characters are expected to respect this privilege in battle and not abuse it. Auto-hits are to be used only to progress the story, so that a saga doesn't get bogged down in a stalemate. Special Characters can only use their auto-hit privileges at "home" (IE: The Guardian can only auto-hit at his Lookout, and the Lord of the Underworld can only auto-hit in the Underworld.)

Don't "Kill" someone: If you want to "kill" someone, contact them first, and check if it's ok. They may want to get something in return. Nothing is free. No one likes it when people try and kill our characters without our permission, so don't bother typing "Kills Gohan", because you'll just be ignored. If the person has been absent for a little while, you can get Administrator permission instead.

You Only Live Thrice: Your character can die twice and be resurrected to the living world. After you die three times, that's the end of that character. If you die in Otherworld at all, that's also the end of that character.

Control your own character: You cannot control another player's character without their permission. This includes not only auto-hitting and killing other characters, but also grabbing characters and dragging them across the countryside, or posting actions for other characters without their owner's approval.

Play Fair: As I said earlier don't try and be "an all powerful warrior." We simply don't have those in this RPG, we let our main charcters get the crap beaten out of them and don't try to be "too cool" to laugh at ourselves and stuff. Usually our villians are the only characters that we cannot hurt in battle until we figure out their weaknesses, so don't get frustrated if you can't hurt them yet.

Unwritten Rules (Elastic Clause): For the most part, the rules to this RPG are very simple and it offers a lot of freedom for what your character can do. While we generally let players play and do whatever, all actions are subject to disapproval by the Administrator and other board monitors. Even if your action doesn't appear to be breaking any rules listed here, there are some things that won't be allowed for one reason or another. Often, it is because of common courtesies that are basically understood while RPing, even if they're not written in the actual rules. Or it may be because your action just wouldn't make any logical sense with regards to the current storyline or your location (IE: going to the beach in Arizona).

The Dragon Orbs: There are five (5) Dragon Orbs scattered around the planet Eden. They can be collected at anytime, but they must be collected by posting a quest (please let an admin know if you're starting one). Once you have collectecd all the Orbs, please e-mail the administrators with your wishes before you post the summoning of the Dragon. The dragon can only be summoned on Eden and he can grant two wishes. You can wish for most anything, but the exceptions are-- but aren't limited to-- wishing for immortality, automatically killing someone, or blowing up the world. It can bring people back from the dead, but he can only do it once, so if you die twice, thats the end of that character. After the Dragon is summoned, and the Orbs are re-scattered, they are inactive for two months real-time).

As long as there are Orbs out there that are yet to be found, a character can post a quest on ANY of the continents (including The Juin Continent as long as they follow the proper procedure for going there). The one condition for finding an orb is that only one (1) can be found per continent.

These Quest threads should be relatively long and detailed--it's easy to tell when a person put some time into their writing--aim for five moderately thick posts MINIMUM. At the end of the thread, you can post that you've found a Dragon Orb. Then e-mail the administrators to say that you've found one, so they can update the Rules page. If the Administrators thinks the quest thread isn't quite adequate, that's when they can delete the last post or modify it as they see fit. But it won't take a novel to earn an Orb, so don't worry about it too much.

Lastly, if multiple people are working together to look for an Orb, then a five to six post thread is obviously too short. That's only three or so posts per person! When you include the fact that some of these threads might be straight dialogue, it doesn't make for much of a quest. At least try to get 10-12 posts, or preferably onto the second page.

Dragon Orb Status: The Orbs are active and ready to be collected.
The following people have orbs:
Musashi/Midnight (2 - Great Continent-East, Great Continent-West)

Fusion: Characters can fuse as long as they share a common race. While it does give a boost to your power, fusion doesn't make you all powerful, so the same rules about auto-hitting and god-moding still apply. The fused character gets the techniques of both of its hosts, and the fusion lasts for one battle.

Additional Techniques: A credit or credits may be rewarded to a character for exceptional RPing, usually at the end of a tough battle or a saga. A credit may be redeemed immediately or later for new techniques. Redemption costs are as follows:
1 Credit - Class I ability
5 Credits - Class II ability
10 Credits - Class III ability

Additional Characters: The privilege to have an additional regular character is a right to be earned. Only experienced characters with a minimum of 300 posts are eligible to have them. Adding a character will cost 20 credits.

Inactivity: If you are inactive (meaning, you do not post or sign onto the message board) for over six months, your board account and character profile may be deleted by an administrator. If you come back after six months and still want to be a member of Forced Heroes, you are welcome to. Just re-send in your application and register for another board account. However, please post on the Vacation OOC subboard when you know you will be inactive so you are not accidentally deleted.
