Making more than 450 rear wheel horsepower? If so, you NEED to upgrade your fuel system! Although your stock fuel lines can support more than 450, you are running on borrowed time. I have personally made 557rwhp using stock rails, lines, 50lb injectors, 190lph in tank and a Vortech T-Rex in line pump. I do not recommend you try this at home, this was accomplished under controlled conditions on a dyno using a wide band O2 sensor and Chipmaster software. Using these tools we could monitor air fuel ratios, injector duty cycle and fuel pressure. Needless to say after seeing my dyno results I was convinced that I had better upgrade my fuel system. Running lean at these power levels would be catastrophic to engine life. I am not going to go into a step by step assembly of a fuel system because every car is different in routing and mounting locations of the components. So here it is a basic fuel system diagram with part numbers and prices, hose assembly instructions, fastener thread fitting conversion chart, and some pictures of the end product. This was the first time I have done this and the job took me about 8 hours to complete, it is extremely easy to do and can be completed by a novice with common mechanics tools.

1. Always measure the length of hose needed twice and so you only have to cut once. Put tape around the braided line to prevent fraying, with a hacksaw or chopsaw cut the line to specified length. 2. Place the hose end sleeve over the braided hose, this takes some coersion and tough thumbnails to push the sleeve over the frayed end. 3. Place the hose end fitting in a vice and apply a light coat of oil on the barbed fitting, push the braided line (with sleeve already on it) over the fitting while screwing together (not easy). Ensure both parts of fitting are flush together. 4. Clean out all lines with q-tips and high pressure air before assembling on the car.
