might
know, the first edition of this edition of this directory (1993) had so
long been out of print. The second edition of 2002 that covers a larger
number of members had been launched recently with a great request. For
the next edition, we imagine that a number of generative programs
can take certain benefits with this publication. Besides, in the ring of
ForATL (Forum of Asian Theological Librarians) has emerged stems of ideas
and plan to ignite steps of developments for the libraries and librarians
as well.
All of these efforts to boost its use is done in terms of following the
latest (1993) survey of Mrs. Rita M. England, Librarian of the Program
for Theology and Cultures in Asia (PTCA). It states that the journey of
theological library to be a full priest for the whole community in the
church of Asia is still in early steps and much without a close tie.
Since in the directory we would also like to include a listing of library
profile of your collection and your own profile in the WHO'S WHO, we do
need your cooperation, especially by presenting any relevant information
about the nature and holdings of your library.
