| Before I get into detail about various relilgions and methods of spirituality, let me just say this...there are MANY different faiths and forms of practicing spirituality and not any one is THE ONLY way or THE RIGHT way. I hear often from some people that I have no faith because I;m not Christian or I'm going to hell if I don't repent and follow the words of Jesus Christ etc etc...now mind you, I am well aware of the fact that being a Witch (yes that is the term I use - Solitary Eclectic Witch ), I am an easy target for the 'Hardcores' (as I like to call them)...well so be it. Personally I think they are wasting their time but HEY! who am I to spoil their fun...Bottom line people, as far as I am concerned, YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THE PATH THAT FEELS RIGHT FOR YOU! Spirituality and religion isn't about following the masses! IMO, its about becoming complete, its about having faith, believing in something that gives you strength, love, peace and contentment etc but more importantly, its a very personal thing....but hey like the L7 song says..."the masses are asses"! I agree with that! (I also love that song tee hee). Besides, do you really think you would get ANY pleasure or peace out of following a religion that really means nothing to you? I mean what would you really get out of pretending to believe in something just because the majority does?? I would think it would cause you more stress rather than do any good!! Then again thats just my humble opinion....Which brings me to the point of this page...I will try to cover as many of the more well known religions on here but I will also be putting up links to some VERY good sites that cover WAY more than I am able to and in greater depth. If you are current following a path that you aren't comfortable with look into others!! If you aren't following any path right and would like to but don't know whats out there...try that Religion test I mentioned on the Healing page!! or just research and see whats out there.. AND DON'T let anyone tell you that you can't combine religions!! YES YOU CAN!! There are Jewish and Chirstian Wiccans and Pagans!! I am a Witch but I'm also currently looking into Buddism, Taoism and Native American way of life (N.American isnt a religion its a way of life from what I've been told and read)...ITS UP TO YOU what path(s) you choose, after all its your life isn't it?! |
