Welcome to the FAQ section, where I try to answer as many questions about this project that I can. If you have any questions you'd like answered, please feel free to contact me.
1.
Why Dir en grey?
Why not? This is a way for fans to show their support to Dir en grey. The band has influenced so many people and made an impact on so many lives; they give so much... Is it wrong for the fans to participate in this project to show how much we appreciate everything they do?
2.
Well, okay, you've got me there. But how does this crane thing work?
Well, each fan that wishes to participate send their
name,
country, and
wish for the band to
me and I add it to the list of wishes already gathered. The wishes are then divided up between volunteer crane folders (including myself) and each name, country, and wish of a fan is written on a square. That square is then folded into a crane and linked with the rest of them. =D Easy as pie!
3.
What happens after all the cranes are folded?
After all 1000 cranes are folded and linked together, they will be packed in (hopefully) one box along with a print-out of all the names, countries, and wishes of the fans that participated in the project, as well a letter stating why the project was done. That box will then be shipped to the band and
voila! Mission accomplished.
4.
Can my wish be in another language? And from anywhere?
Of course it can! A wish is a wish, no matter what language it's in or what country it comes from. We have recieved wishes from the USA, Germany, France, Australia, Hungary, and even Egypt!
5.
Is there a deadline?
No, as of this moment, there is no deadline.
6.
What about shipping costs? Isn't it going to, um, suck?
Yes! It is going to suck. ._.; And I'm a poor, broke little girl. If you'd like to donate some money towards the shipping cost of the package, please
contact me. ^-^
7.
You suck, this is a stupid idea. >=( Grr. Rawr.
Why, thank you. =D If you don't like it, don't participate. No one's forcing you to, so why waste your own time?
8.
How can I help?
If you want to help, PLEASE feel free to promote this website to fellow Dir en grey fans! Put a link in your online journal user info, you DeviantArt page, the signatures to forums you frequent, mailing lists -- whatever you want to do, feel free to do it! We need as much promotion as we can get! We
know there are at least 1000 Dir en grey fans out there -- the problem is reaching them! So promote to your heart's content. =)
