Footypred rules

1. All predictions must be posted before the start of play, any predictions posted after the kickoff will be declared void.

2. Games will be scored as follows,

10 points for a correct score prediction (includes the 3 pts for Correct Result)

3 points for a correct result prediction.

6 points for a correct Pools Panel prediction (see Rule 3).

3. In case of postponed games, the Pool Panel given result prediction will be used. A total of 6 points has been decided on, this being halfway between the correct result and correct score. Any draws predicted will still only apply as a draw with no differential between no score and scoring draws.

4. In the case of a game being abandoned, the following will apply :

If the game is abandoned before halftime, the game will be declared void.

If the game is abandoned after halftime, the result / score at the time will stand.

If the game will not be played within the timescale of that weeks predictions, the match shall be declared void.

5. Any disputes on score will be decided on the result posted on the BBC football website.

6. In event of cup games being used, if the match has to go into extra time, therefore the result if a draw at 90mins , we will use the result at the end of 120 mins (after Extra Time) as the result we use to mark the game.The score after penalties will not be used.

7. It is your responsibility to check your own scores and points awarded, seven days grace from the end of the game(s) in question will be given, contact Steve, Kenny or me by PM or use the Footypred email address as below.

8. The final decison on any dispute will be made by the Footypred team.

9. The Prize List rules are as follows for the 08-09 season...

a. A pair of Dave Greenwood hand made lures for the Overall Leader in the Overall Table after the fixtures (known as the Boxing Day 08 fixture) are completed on Fri 26th December 08. ( This prize is not part of the final Prizegiving rules at the end of the Competition )

b. Prizes for the end of the Competition ( after the final game takes place on Sunday 24th May ,unless any game scheduled that day is moved forward then the Competition will finish after the final game of the 08-09 season).

Only one prize per participant(except the midpoint prize, see above)...the next person in each category will receive the prize for that section......

a pair of Billy's Backbiter Alarms in your own team colours (subject to colours being available)(donated by Steve Bown )

Prize for Overall Correct Results leader....

a Shimano Forcemaster Jerkbait 6ft medium/heavy rod (donated by Mr White / Plugger)

Prize for Overall Correct Scores leader....

A years membership to either PAAS or PAC (donated by Steve Tighe )
