Go straight on and stop by in the Inn to rest. Buy the Demon equipment for Cecil in the store next door and buy two Bolt Claws for Yang. Afterwards, head on into the throne room. After a conversation with the King, you will be at the gates of Fabul. You will face a series of battles from now, but they are fairly easy. After each one, however, you will retreat further into the castle. When fighting the Captain and Fighters, try to take out the Captain for extra EXP. After entering the throne room, a guard unlocks the door behind you and you discover he is an impostor. When you try and retreat into the Crystal room, Edward trips and you have to fight again. Then, you fall back into the Crystal room, and Kain comes to meet you. Cecil is happy to see him, and asks him to fight with them. But Kain decides to fight against you. You cannot win this battle, so just do nothing. Cecil realises that Kain is under Golbez�s spell. Kain is just about to kill Cecil when Rosa enters and Kain hesitates. Here, Golbez makes his first entrance. He gets rid of Yang and Edward immediately, and Kain goes to take the crystal. Rosa tries to stop him, but Golbez kidnaps her and they get away with the crystal. Rydia cures the party, and they vow to save Rosa.
Return to the throne room and check the pot on the left to get a Hermes. Go to the right of the throne and step on the switch to open a door. Go through the secret passage to get a Silk Web, a Demon Shield for Cecil and an Ether1. Go back and head down the stairs. Go to the Inn, where you can rest in the Inn for free. You plan to go to Baron and steal an airship to get to Golbez. To do this you need a ship. In the morning, you will receive a Death Sword from the king. Check the chest by his bed to get a Tent, and then leave the castle. Go into the ship at the port, and Yang�s wife will see you off. On your route to Baron, however, a whirlpool appears in front of you and Leviathan slowly drags you in. The ship shakes and Rydia is thrown into the sea. Yang jumps in after her. As you try to stay on board, you are sucked into the whirlpool.
You awake on a beach with no sign of your party members. So head right to enter Mysidia. |
