Story about Lien My
name is Lien, I come from Vietnam. I have been in Australia
for about 16 years. I live with my son , his name is Lee. I
left Vietnam because I couldn't find a job there and there was
no freedom under the communists. I love Australia but I enjoy going
back to Vietnam now and again to visit family and friends. I am really
excited about studying English at AMES.
Now my English is better because I study English for 4 days a week. I
like Melbourne, but I am not used to the cold in winter. Now I love
Australia because my sister and aunt are here and I have many friends
here too. Five
years ago I worked at a child care centre in Kensington. It was casual
work, after that I went to study English at Flemington. Now
I try to learn more English, after that I will do a childcare course.
I
would like to learn in English this term about: Conversation, Dictation
and Grammar.
I like Australia because there are: good government, many good friendly people who have helped me. So it was difficult when I first arrived, but now everything is all right.
