Feng
Ba established the nation of North Yan in AD409 (one of

16 nations in the East Jin Dynasty—AD 317-419). He was
King
for twenty years. He left his throne to his younger brother,
Feng
Hong, who ruled for eight years (AD428-436).
In AD437,
Feng
Hong’s 3rd son, Feng Ye, led his clansmen, over three hundred souls, sailed in
large ships to the south from Korea and
Paid
homage to the king of the Song Dynasty. (Epoch
of division
Between
North and South AD 420-477).
When
Feng Ba became king, he honored his mother as queen mother and his wife, madam
Sun, as queen. He was hard working.
He
encouraged the people to cultivate more and they became prosperous. He also
reduced the taxes. He met his officers frequently and understood the problems
of the nation. The people
Of
North Yan were happy.
When
Feng Ba was 74 years old, he became very sick. He called his ministers and
prepared for the take over, when he passed away.
Prince
Yi was decreed to run the administration. One of the king’s
Consorts,
Madam Song, forged the king’s order and did not allow
Any
one to see the king, including the prince and the ministers. Hu
Fu,
the palace guard, was the only person, who could move in and out of the inner
palace. Feng Hong, the king’s younger brother, was very much concerned. He was
afraid that madam Song would take over the reign. He had a servant, Ku Dou Tou,
who was very strong and with great strength. He climbed over the high wall and
got into the inner palace. He opened the doors and allowed the palace guards to
enter. One lady’s maid was killed and the guards of the inner palace were
dispersed. The sick king had a great shock and died, Feng Hong became king.
Prince
Yi led an army to fight for his throne. He lost and was decreed to die. He was
knighted as king of Wen Cheng postmortem.
In
AD 436, Nation Wei attacked NorthYan. Every one was frightened. The kong wanted
to be a close alliance of Korea though his ministers were all against it. He
sent a high ranking officer to Korea for discussion. He was welcomed.
The king of Korea sent generals, Ge Lu and Meng Guang, together with an army of
several hundred thousand men, to welcome the king of North Yan to Korea.
The
king of Wei was very angry and pressed politically. Feng Hong could not stay
peacefully in Korea. He ordered his third son
Feng
Ye, together with over 300 clansmen, to leave Korea for the south in big ships.
Feng Ye paid homage to the king of Song Dynasty, when he arrived Guangdong.
Later, he was appointed
Prefect
of Xin Hui District in AD 450. He died at the age of 78.
He
was remembered as the first ancestor in Guangdong.
