We meet every tuseday night at the union rooms pub (opposite the centeral station in the centre of Newcastle) for downtime and general F and H discussion. Feel free to come and join us there and have a chat and drink. If you need to contact any of the Refs or LO simply leave a message on the local boards or e-mail the LO at [email protected]

Night site location: Jesmond Dene, Centre of Newcastle.
Day site: Chopwell Woods, Chopwell village.

To get to Chopwell woods catch the number 47 or 47a (Go Northeast) at either the Newcastle central bus station, the Newcastle Central train station or the Metrocentre. The bus stops at Hookergate Lane in High Spen, located by the road access into the wood. Walk the 10 minute route up the tarmaced road into the carpark, where we usually meet, around 11am - 12 noon. To get there by car get onto the A1 southbound that circumnavigates Newcastle and then take the A694 signposted Swallwell/Whickham/Consett. Take the second exit off the roundabout at the end of the sliproad. After passing under the A1 go straight ahead at the roundabout with the service station on the right. At the villge of Rowlands Gill turn right onto the B6315 and follow the road up to the village of High Spen. The turn of to Chopwell Woods is marked just after the entrance to the village.
