| Big Daddy- Big Daddy is the man of the house. His health is failing and he has cancer, though he doesnt know it. He believes he has a spastic colon, but everybody else knows its really cancer. He is married to Big Mamma, naturally, and doesnt to give a rats, you know what about her. He only seems to care about Brick, but it is uncertain whether his feelings are returned. Big Mamma - Big Mamma is a large enthusiastic overly emotional woman. She cares very much for everyone around her and the only one to return her feelings is most likely Margaret. Brick - Brick is husband to Mae, son of Big Daddy and Big Mamma, brother to Gooper, and Brother-in-law to Mae. Brick is a washed up athlete with a massive drinking problem. Brick spends most of the play drinking himself stupid. He drinks until he gets his click, which is his word for, utterly numb. He has a horrible relationship with his family and wife. Some might wonder why he bothers going on with life. Gooper- Gooper is Bricks brother and only competition for Big Daddys inheritance. Gooper is small conniving little man who would like nothing more than to screw Brick out of his inheritance. Mae Mae is Goopers wife. She also happens to be one of the snottiest things ever to manifest itself within the pages of literature at our good and wholesome school. She has six children and is known as a Monster of Fertility Margaret - Margaret, other wise known as Mae, is the wife of Brick. This seemingly normal lady is perhaps the most sex-starved woman on the planet. She spends her stage time practically begging Brick to sleep with her. She is in her mid to late forties and is at the most advantageous point in her life to have a child. |
