| I was thinking to myself just a couple of minutes ago, self, I don't need to be posting my stuff on the forum with the rest of the lackies that read my webpage. I RUN THE DAMN PAGE! That means that, well, I get to do pretty much whatever I want with it. In that case, I will speak my peace on the front page. And you all will read it because I CONTROL YOUR MINDS! |

| Yes, that's right, I control every thought going through your head at THIS very instance! Anywho, getting on with things. I would like to say my peace about different teams / people that I think will have a significance on this year's FSL season. Some may be positive stuff, some may be negative. Rest assured it will all be fact, because it's coming from the straight shooter, known as THE Steven T. Sica, YOUR FSL Webmaster (key word MASTER), and the 15th best softball player ever to play for Salem 2 softball! I think Little Mike is 16th on the all time list. Which brings us to our first topic (what a segway). LITTLE MIKE - What's the deal with Little Mike this year? Is he coming back to the Salem 2 squad? Or will it be the opposite of him coming back, which is a positive mental attitude on the team? Out of every single person I have ever met, EVER, Mike Bouvier has the WORST attitude I have ever seen in anyone. I don't know if you read this page Mike, but come on dude. Get over the bad 'tude. And honestly, you can't hit for shit. Christ, look at the picture above. Your knee is on the god damn ground when you are swinging the bat! Hit the cages Mike! I heard that Lynn is looking for a new third baseman. Our new first baseman this year should be... BILLY SICA - Billy Sica should be Salem 2's first baseman this year. Simple reason... HE CAN CATCH A BALL!!! That's usually a key element to any first baseman. We have a second baseman this year in Anthony who can field balls and make plays along with myself at shortstop. Now if only Billy gets the nod at first base, we may turn some legit double plays this year! Our old second baseman, who happens to visit this site more than anyone else, Joseph Guenavere Naughton, had a terrific fielding percentage of .002 for last season. That's up from .0001 and 1/2 the previous year. HA HA, had to get you there Joe, I know you see this and you are pissed, that just means I accomplished what I wanted to. However, Billy... to you all I have to say is keep up the good hitting and your positive attitude I have seen in you this pre-season. Keep asking to go to the cages, keep asking when practice is, and when the games are. Your interest in making the team the best it can be is commended by myself, as well as our loving coach... ADAM TRUKAS - Adam Trukas... what a leader! What a man! What a human being! Adam is possibly the greatest man ever, in the history of the world. With his masterful and EVIL plan for this year, the Fighting Hedg.... um.... Salem 2 is destined to win it all. Adam's bat has been popping in the off season. He is going to lead us to ANOTHER FSL Championship this year in the 2003 FSL Season. Get ready to break that cham... seltzer water I mean, out at the end of October. Speaking of being hung like a horse... Matt Keenan - Matt Keenan, as always, is one of the premere double threats in the league. A FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME Gold Glove winner! And also, the best 2 hole hitter in the history of the game of softball! In all my 5 years playing with Mr. Keenan on Salem 2, I have NEVER seen him miss a ball in left field. However will he be playing the same position this year? Rumor has it that the field general, Keenan, will be moving to the newly utilized "short-fielder" position. Being the mastermind Matt is, he knows exactly when to put on things like "The Perreira Shift." Christ, who DOESN'T know that shift. He's played for 14 years and he hits it to the same spot every time. Maybe that's why the man batted .162 last season. Pathetic! Matt will provide Salem 2 with the best season we have ever seen out of him this year. I am confident in saying that, because its true, ITS DAMN TRUE! TEAM LYNN - Probably our biggest competition in the league. Lynn has been a proverbal thorn in the side of Salem 2 for years. Salem 2 won the season series against Lynn last season, however Lynn took the cake in the playoffs where it really counts. Lynn's days are numbered as they have lost some great talent. Meanwhile Salem 2 is STACKED up with new faces that will put a jumpstart on the bats this year. Salem 2 placed 2nd last season, as Lynn placed 3rd. They got worse, we got better... you do the math. Prediction in season series again Lynn... 2-1 in favor of Salem 2. Damage Inc. - Who? Damage WHAT? If you read the Forum and check out what Matt Keenan said about new teams in the FSL. He is exactly right. Damage Inc. will not win more than 4 games MAX this season. It just wont happen. No matter what kind of talent you have on your team, it won't happen for you guys. That's the truth. Shit, print out this page and bring it back to me at the end of the season. If I'm wrong, I'll eat my words... but I won't be. Prediction in season series against Damage Inc... A BIG 3-0. We will outscore them in those 3 games by a score of 65-14. Major whoop ass right there! Revere - If last Sunday's scrimmage was any indication of what Revere is going to be like this season... GOOD GAWD!!! Wait, we didn't play Revere, I didn't see Brian Langston there.. oh yea, my bad. Revere however is TWO TIME, TWO TIME FSL Champions. However, they are under a new Regeme with the Bowser era. Can Bowser prove himself as a team leader? What happens if the knee brace comes off and he loses a leg? Oh my god! Im gonna have a bells paulsy attack now! Revere will also go down hard this year to the hands of Salem 2. Season series prediction... 3-0 in favor of the good guys. The Big Sticks - Formerly Team Rubberneck. Brian Langston's new love child enters the FSL Arena a rookie team. And we already went over what happens to rookie teams didn't we class? The Big Sticks are gonna look more like the big dicks after losing 3-0 in the season series with Salem 2. There may be a close game with these guys, as they do have some vets that have signed lucrative contracts with the Big Sticks. We shall see, but personal opinion, and the majority of my readers would agree that Salem 2 will manhandle them this season. FINAL THOUGHT - Now I realize that most of these predictions might sound assanine to many of you folks. However I don't give a monkey's left testicle what you think. This is the truth, and let it be known. My overall prediction is that we will go 11-1 this season. With one loss to the mighty Lynn team. And that game will be a low scoring affair on a week where some guys wont be there and it will be really crappy weather with some really horrible calls from the umpire! Yea, that's it! I honestly believe that calling balls and strikes this year works totally in favor of Salem 2 also. We have guys that are going to tear the crap out of the ball if we get the chance to hit a decent pitch. And with the threat of walking everyone around the base path, people will now be forced to pitch a decent pitch (Sean from Revere II last season). Looking at the lineup card for Salem 2's team this year... you can't possibly pitch around anyone to get to a weaker hitter. Every member of this lineup can tear the cover off the ball. Balls and strikes definately works for us in the field as well because Adam Trukas is very good at throwing nice pitches over the plate. Its not the pitchest job in a game of softball to get people out. The pitcher just lobs the damn thing over the plate. However with a spectacular field behing Adam, we can afford to just lob it right in there, with no fear at all of letting up big hits. That's my opinion, I'm sticking to it, and if any of you haters out there don't like it... well, you all know what you can do! I tell it like it is, and that's how it's got to be. Until next time.
