ABOUT AFFENTALER

The Affentaler Collection was formed in 1908 by a group of 24 wine growers whose vineyards nestled on the sunny slopes of the Black Forest overlooking the Rhine.

The famous red wine was developed in the historic Affental Cloisters where the Cistercian Monks of the 13th century also produced wine. A tradition which is handed down from family to family, generation to generation to this very day.

By 1937, the Eisental, Altschweier and Buehl-Kappelwindeck collections were created in neaarby villages, which in 1973 were grouped with all the villages in the area to form the final part of the Affental Collection.

The production plan is situated at the food of the vineyards and at the edge of the sun-drenched slopes of the Black Forest.
