The Quarterly Journal of Food and Car Poems
~ Remodeled and Refried Verse in Traditional Forms ~
Acceptable forms: We are seeking submissions for our fourth issue!

Here is an opportunity to showcase your
favorite recipes, hobbies and areas of expertise in classical poetic verse.  We are only looking for poetry that informs -no emotional expression of any kind, please.

Poems do not need to be about food and cars. They can be how-to poems, snippets of biographies, job descriptions, stories (as long as they aren't love stories) lists of interesting facts...

The Rules:

Free verse is
forbidden.
Love poems will be
laughed at.
Metaphors
aren't allowed either.
Use one of the acceptable forms to the left, or copy the meter and rhyme scheme of a distinctive and well know poem that you admire.

We are very
strict with our big red pens and glasses on the ends of our noses, so please follow the rules and make sure every syllable is in place.

Payment:

Unfortunately, the only way we would be able to pay contributors would be if
someone were paying us, and we don't see how or why that would ever happen.

Email submissions to:
[email protected]

Deadlines:

The deadline for the fourth  issue is
March 1, 2007.   Submissions received after the deadline will be considered for the next issue.
