Agincourt Day

You are invited, once again, to celebrate the 1415 Battle of Agincourt to be held on Saturday the 23rd of October ASXXXIX and join with the Canton of Stowe~on~the~Wowld in a day of Games, Food and, of course, Archery!!
We shall be gathering yet again at the Nirimba Educational Precinct at Quaker's Hill. A map can be found here under the Regular Events. From 11 of the morning until the sun departs the day. Cost shall be 5 Gold for all in attendance. Accompanied children under the age of 12 are free of charge.
Iced Cordials, Bread and assorted Fruit will be available but read on for the benefits of bringing along a dish to share in the sca time honoured fashion of a Pot Luck Picnick.

There shall be Prizes awarded for undertaking the following:

~ An Arts and Sciences Item that is related in some way to archery.
~ The yummiest Pot Luck Dish, preferably with some documentation to prove it's not just Aunt Dot's favourite tart in disguise!
~ The Best Contribution to the Atmosphere of the Day, to be judged by the stewarding team. This can be anything at all! It's up to us ...aaah the power!
~ Highest Score for Royal Round Target Shoots (several rounds will take place
throughout the course of the day). Please come along and beat Alfgeirr! It'd make a nice change!
~ The Most Gallant Fighter in Boffer Tourney - max. of 5 wins in a row afore rejoining the queue again. Boffer weapons will be provided.

Apart from the aforementioned competitions there will also be the ever popular:

~ Shooting down of ye Evil Foam French Soldiers in ye Mocke Castle Wall!
~ Period novelty shoots such as the garland shoot and more besides.
~ A Gaming Table for those who would prefer to let their lunch digest in a
civilised manner. Board games, cards etc all welcome! Chess and backgammon
will be provided under shade. Colouring in provisions for the young ones.
~ Bocce (petanque) and hopefully croquet!
~ Period archery equipment display.

Bows & Arrows will be supplied to those who do not have them. So if you've always wanted to try Archery, now's your chance!
