This is the top.  That ledge is reminiscent of something from a Wyle E. Coyote cartoon.  People were standing on the rocks that were loose, posing for pictures.  I could just see the caption "This is the stupid look my friend had on his face before plummeting thousands of feet onto a pile of more rocks."  Not that a single person was sane up there, but some were just smarter than others.  My picture looked just as good without being precariously strung over the ledge.

The View from the top looking over the edge makes your eyes want to leap out through your ears.  It's way too much to look at at once.  I resisted the childish urge to spit over the edge and watch it fall, mostly because I had no water left and 8 miles to go, and burned up all of my energy just holding the camera up long enough to take this picture.  Besides I bet it would have burnt up in the atmosphere, or killed some poor guy on impact. 

ONWARDS AND... umm... DOWNWARDS!
