The Legend of the Pine Cone Owl
by BIP the reluctant Edger (a big Squirrelly "chee hee")
Once upon a time in Edgerland, BIP and her two friends, Sarah and Becky, were out on a walk when Sarah spotted something peculiar in a nearby tree. "Oh my god," Sarah screamed, flipping out.
"
What?" Becky inquired, quite annoyed.
"
There's an owl in that tree!" Sarah continued to freak out.
BIP and Becky both gave Sarah odd looks.
"
Okay," Becky thought for a moment, coming up with this tidbit of sarcastic wisdom, "number 1: There really aren't that many owls in South Jersey and, number 2: Owls only come out at night. See, it sleeps all day, like BIP."
"
Okay, okay...FIRST Mark says I'm slow, Chris calls me a geek, Bill says I'm short when he's really the short one, people online have been calling me an Edger, and now THIS?!?"
Sarah turned her attention from the "owl" in the tree to BIP (the Edger :-P). "
What the hell is an Edger?"
Becky rolled her eyes and threw a rock at the poor defenseless creature in the tree. It plummeted to the ground. The trio gathered round to gawk at the.......em......oh wait....it's not an owl......it's only a pinecone. Sheesh.....and we all thought it was gonna be interesting....Let's get outta here. LOL
