| "O" The Oprah Magazine - A real inspiration for me. I so enjoy getting my copy of this magazine each month. It renews my spirit and gives me renewed inspiration when I need. Filled with wonderful articles and pieces on how to live your life to honor your spirit and be an inspiration to others. "Mothering" - This is an Attachment Parenting/Natural Parenting magizine. I've been getting this magazine since I had our first son. Now that I am pretty knowledgable about Attachment Parenting/Gentle Parenting I don't really read it for that but I still enjoy the articles on the Art of Mothering, Health issues, Children's Minds & Family Living. "Countryside" - The magazine of modern homesteading. This is their Philosophy "It's not a single idea, but many ideas and attitudes, including a reverence for nature and a prefrence for country life; a desire for maximum personal seof-reliance and creative leisures; a concern for the family nurture and community cohesion; a belief that the primary reward of work should be well-being rather then money; a certain nostalgia for the supposed simplicities of the past and an anxiety about the technological and bureaucratic complexities of the present and the future; and a taste for the plain and functional. Countryside reflects and supports the simple life, and calls it's practitioners homesteaders. "Family Fun" - Just what the title says, lots of family fun with crafts, holiday things to do and make, yummy recipes to make for and with the little ones and a lot more. |

| "Home Comforts" The Art & Science of Keeping House - by Cheryl Mendelson - This is a wonderful all inclusive book about everything that has to do with keeping a home. This really is the only resource you would ever need. Sells at amazon.com for 24.50 and SO worth every penny. A great book for a newly married girl or for the Homemaker that would like some formal instruction. "The Complete Tidwad Gazette" - by Amy Dacyczyn - What more do I need to say? This is the tell all of tell alls. This edition has all of her editions in one book. If you want to like frugal and simply, this is definitely the only book you will need. Sells for 13.99. "Managers of Their Home" - by Teri Maxwell - This is a wonderful workbook that gives you all the information that you need to work out and be able to stick to a schedule. Schedules are so very important when you have so much to do, especially for Homeschooling moms. You need time for chores, Homeschooling, the children, your husband, personal time, devotional time, etc. I have found for me to be able to run our home smoothly I really need to have a schedule and this resource was the first one I have found that helps me do that. This is a Christian based resource :-) |
