Hello! My name is Murphy
and this is my story....

''In 2000 I was born in the 'wilderness' and lived as a rover for some years.
Only I know the exact date of my birth - but I won't tell.

Someone catched me and brought me to an animal shelter. There I got my 'lodgers' erm mites removed.... and my manhood too -ouch!

A short time after my arrival - I was still under quarantine - two people looked into my room. I was hiding in a cat basked , because of a new & completely unknown room-mate that I had got. It wasn't easy for the keeper to get me out of the basket , but then I said ''OK'' and she presented me to the two visitors with the words ''the ginger one is skinny , but tall''. Very flattering...
Well , it must have been love at first sight , because from that moment it was obvious , that I should be the new family cat.

A few days later I got picked up from the shelter. But I was not the only one. In another cat basket there was a little black cat lady , who miaowed all the time. Compared to her I was quiet like a mouse...
We left the animal shelter by car and till today this drive was the only one I didn't make a single miaow. After arriving at our new home I sneaked out of my basket and hid myself behind the sofa. My new mate vanished under the cupboard.

Very quickly I discovered that there was no need to be afraid. During the first night I jumped into the bed of the humans und started cuddling , and I still do so these days.
Today I'm not as skinny as before and I weigh 13 pounds. I like the human tin openers a lot, and they got it very soon that I am the new boss in the house.

I talk everybody's head off and mostly they understand what I want to say. But till today nobody knows what I mean when I say ''Mauhua Aua''. We really need to work this out!
If I want to , the humans open water taps for me and drawers , windows and doors. They even bring the right food home to me - well mostly in any case.

It's the biggest fun , when my human Sandra plays hide and seek with me. I follow her through all rooms till I get her and the I run away and she's seeking me . Woosh!

My new friend , who got named Bonnie, and I get on like a house on fire. We watch everything around the house very attentive. And if a unknown cat comes along , woe ... we start snarling at the window! If we can't see it from there anymore we move on to the next room and window.

Bonnie and I catch mice in the neighbourhood and bring them home to swap for a dainty or a cuddle. It's sad but true that in return some neighbours accuse us of relieving nature on their ground , what we do not at all! We cannot be blamed for the things that other cats , marten and foxes do!!! Nothing's so hard as man's / cats' ingratitude..... We are the well mannered sort of cats , who come home and rush into one of our cat litter pans. The proof can be seen even on video, how embarrassing....

Our humans admire us . They hold us in high regard and show us every day. They often tell me I was the most clever cat they've ever lived with.

I have to go now. There's a lot to see and do outside''

Murphy

Well , he's really smart, isn't he? He can even write...
