                                                    A respected criminal psychologist (Halle Berry) hears confessions from a satanic

patient (Penélope Cruz) and later has an experience with a mysterious woman. This leads to nightmares, but

her life really becomes horrific when she wakes up and discovers she's been locked in her own sanitarium for a

murder that she can't remember committing. It turns out that the victim is, in fact, her husband (Charles S. Dutton),

the hospital's administrator, and all the evidence points to her. While trying to figure out what's happened and

separate fact from fiction, her colleague (Robert Downey Jr.) wonders whether she's finally gone crazy.
