Tertiary education gradually increases its weight in the society, and it is a compulsory requirement for an individual to seek for a job vacancy. As a student can strengthen his logical thinking during tertiary education, I truly believe that I could be the one so that I can upgrade mine’s ability in order to compete with others.
I have strong interest in pure science, especially in the techniques of doing experiment. By applying what I have learnt in the lessons to the experiments, I found that chemistry is especially challenging and enjoyable. Therefore, I hope I can broaden my academic horizon through studying pure science subject.
Alternatively, being an author is also the important objective I hope to accomplish. There are many ways to tell readers what the author is thinking about; indeed, language is the unique choice because it is widespread, and thus I’ve got the motivation to study language. I cannot deny the fact that my talent in language is not as good as students studying arts subjects; however, I will make use of hard working to overcome such a deficiency.
I have been a prefect leader these 2 years, and I am also the stage monitor managing the PA system at school. As these posts are closely related to school functions (e.g. parents night, Athletics meet, singing contest, etc.), I had opportunities to devote myself to serving my school. With experience gained, I am confident in handling sudden incident. Apart from this, I have learnt how to co-operate with others and how to solve problems systematically. Moreover, I was the leader of the first overseas educational trip held by the school. This trip gives me courage to communicate with people outside Hong Kong using English and Mandarin, thus letting me know the importance of language.
Last but not the least, university is definitely the place for me to get well prepared before contributing to the society, and I am looking forward to experience such kind of life in order to equip myself to be a useful individual in the society.
