| How The Foil Friends Began | |||||
| I see your curiousity has allowed you to wander into a page explaining the beginning of the Foil Friends. We shall not disappoint. 'Twas a winter's day the second semester of The Foil Friends sophomore year. The Friends had Mrs. Womack's Honors English II class together, a class full of people they despised to put it lightly. The Foil Friends knew that to get through this class, they would have to work very hard to amuse themselves. From the first day on, they filled the class with a humor no one besides themselves and their good friend Brittany could laugh at, until later Mrs. Womack found humor in their doings. I believe the true beginning of all the Foiliness can be attributed to the very first day when Mrs. Womack made the class get involved in a little activity. You were to pair up with a partner, and ask your partner trivial questions such as - "How many brothers and sisters do you have?" "What do you like to do? Your interests, your hobbies?" The Friends knew they could have a great deal of fun with this. When it was their time to share their findings about their partner with the class, they got up and slowly walked to the front of the room. That's when the fun began. "This is my friend Amanda. Amanda has one brother. She likes to drink her own dirty bathwater, and her hobbies include singing the ABC's backwards, and karaoke." "This is my friend Rhonda. She also has one brother. Her hobbies include saving the dolphins, conserving the rainforest. Her interests - sheep and seagull." Seeing the distaste their peers found in their humor, they decided to take it to all new levels. It was high time to do a poetry reading! Mrs. Womack of course loved the idea. The Friends asked their dear band teacher if they could borrow the bongos, and Rhonda found a poem from poetry.com. It was called "Insomnia." While sitting in English that day, Rhonda got out a piece of gum. The foilie exterior of the wrapper inspired her to wrap the foil around her finger. She then realized - "Hey, we could do this during our reading!" Amanda agreed. And so, the day came the Friends would read their poem. They had decided to wear foil around their fingers. They also had a lovely picture of a tranvestite! During their break between 2nd and 3rd block, Amanda and Rhonda prepared for their reading. They got the bongos from the band room, and hurried back to English. They began tearing little strips of foil, and wrapping them around their fingers. They taped the foil into place, and decided then to wrap a bit around their wrists. The Foil-Wrist hasn't been used since that day, as the Friends decided it itched far too much to ever try again! They taped the transvestite photograph to the bongo. However, before reading, they took it off. There are some things not even the Friends will do, such as, show a big black transvestite to their very Christian teacher! :D The reading began. Amanda played the bongos whilst Rhonda read. At the end of each line, Amanda whispered the last word. Their classmates didn't quite know what to think - or at least their thoughts weren't conveyed on their faces! Amanda and Rhonda found great enjoyment out of this. They realized there were many more antics they could pull to bewilder those around them! Thus, the Foil Friendship was born! Home to the Foil |
