We are teachers and trainers based in Dublin working with asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and other newcomers to Ireland.
This site has three aims:
Firstly, we provide resources for newcomers to Ireland and their teachers in the language they need and the culture they have become a part of.
Secondly, as learning is a two-way process, we offer profiles on the various cultural backgrounds our learners come from.
Last but not least, we wish to create a link internationally to other groups and individuals in a similar situation. As the world becomes an ever shrinking place, it becomes increasingly important to develop an intercultural approach to mutual understanding that breaks down barriers and opens up new channels of communication so that we can learn from each other.
