Programs must be put in place to counter evangelism

Will Sri Lanka ever be free from the clutches of Christian proselytism? I doubt it. The proselytisers came with the foreign invaders and they are here to stay especially because some of our own converted locals are the most fanatical supporters of Christian evangelism. There must be a program to educate all the non Christians about the methods of proselytism employed by the evangelists and a grass-roots campaign must be initated to help the non Christian poor, the refugees and the internally displaced in order to ensure that they do not fall prey to evangelist conversion tactics. A special program to stem the high rate of conversion among poor estate workers must be put in place. Korean missionaries especially are quite active there.
