This is the foundation for my NEW aviary. It measures roughly 10'x18'. As you can see, the foundation is underground and above ground. All this is is concrete with gravel, mixed with water and then poured into place. I had scrap pieces of wood laid out, so when I poured the concrete it would be held into place, which in turn make footings. |

Here it is a couple of days later. No, the back wall is not perfectly straight, but it can be corrected when I start laying the 2"x8" pieces of wood around on top of the cinder blocks. I never said I was a professional masonry worker. |

I am further along than what these pics show. With the numerous rainy days we have been having and my vacation, I am behind schedule. My plans are to still have the birds out in the aviaries by late April/early May. |
