After I was dissapointed with Leupolds Mk4 sniper scope. I decided that I wanted the best piece of glass that I could find! After 3 months of research and a whole bunch of phone calls, I finally chose Schmidt & Bender.
Then there was the the hard decisions! S&B has so many choices as far as tube dia., variable power, straight power, lit reticles, range finding reticles, man I thought they would never end! I then decided to go with a 30mm tube (that is the largest ring Blaser offered at that time), Police/marksman style scope, with the mildot reticle.
I really enjoy the clarity of the glass. All adjustments are butter smooth! I bought it used @ $1500. You can find them for around $1800. Since the new 34mm came out - I am looking for the 30mm prices to fall - slightly.
Even with my degrading eyes - this scope is really clear!!!! The click adjustments are very defined. The only thing I dislike about the scope is it has too much of an adjustment, I would prefer a 1/8 MOA adjustment.
I am now spoiled - I want Schmidt & Bender optics on ALL of my weapons!! |
