| I really like FAL type rifles. After reading so many articles regarding DSA, I had to get one. I went to the Portland Gunshow & saw this really nice looking rifle. Had to have it! $2000 it was mine. At first it did not want to feed the first round out of the mag. It was just too tight. Eventually everything just loosened up. Now it works great. The fit and finish of the weapon is fantastic! The matching scope mount is really tough & secure. It functions flawlessly & reliable. It really is a good rifle - it will eat any ammo & ask for more! It is shorter than the normal FAL & has short handguards. The combination of the 16" barrel & the shorter handguards makes a great handling rifle! With an Aimpoint COMP ML XD we were able to get just under 2" groupings at 100M. Not bad, due to the scope system we were using. The only thing I have to say that I dislike about the rifle is the handguards. They need to line them. I don't know why but that rifle's handguards are HOT to the touch after 40-60 rounds. Not at first - let it sit for about 5 minutes. I told DSA about the problem & they weren't too receptive. After hounding them & pointing out that their catalog has the handguards listed as lined, they told me they are working on fixing the problem. |
