Outback Digital Compass
I purchased this from a dealer here in my home town.  It was only $100.  I have seen these on the net all the way up to $250!

I really like the easy to read screen.  That makes land nav VERY easy.  I like the 'windows' style menu's.

unfortunately I can not recommend this product to anyone.  It is noisy (sounds like something is loose inside), the darn thing died on me in the middle of an Elk hunt!  Luckily I had a standard USGI compass in my ruck!
I bought it for my wife so it would be easier for her to stay on her azimuth.  If I gave her this on a run like that she would be lost for weeks.  Hey, maybe I could recommend this after all!  :o)
The Beta C-Mag
This thing is cool.  I hate loading it but LOVE unloading it.  I bought it from Ruben Mendiola for $389.  It looks nice, but as far as tactical - leave it at home.

I can see using it in a fighting position, where you pop it in at night.  That way if you had to wake up and start popping caps, it would all be right there.

I personally would not carry it on a normal basis - too heavy and LOUD.  That thing rattles more than my daughters rattle!  I would rather carry an extra  3 mag pouch instead of just one mag..  What happens if you are running into or away from a firefight and loose your mag?  Or what if it malfunctions?  That is a hundred rounds laying out there somewhere.

I can tell when it is fully loaded and empty, just guessing inbetween.  I would not recommend this product unless you where planning on staying and fighting.

If I owned a full auto - I might change my mind.
ARMS mounts
I love these mounts!  They actually return to zero!  I only own 10 different ones.  I have the ARMS mount for my FNC PARA (much better than the factory one), a #5 for my flattop Armalite, a M68 for my Aimpoint COMP-M-XD, #2 for my Colt Carbine, ARMS mount for the M1a, #22 Quick Detach rings,  Quick Detach mount with rings for the Springfield scope, and ARMS #19a throw level channel for my ACOG, I think my CLAW mount on my HK91 is a ARMS too, but unsure right now.

I think these are the finest on the market.  I have owned a couple others, but always went to the ARMS in the long run.  You can't go wrong with ARMS, they are spendy, but worth it!

The only thing I can say negative (besides the price) is that they are not universal with weaver mounts.  My ACOG came with the flattop mount - it did not fit on my ARMS mount for the FNC - the slots do not line up.  I was a little frustrated, cause I thought it was a marketing ploy.  I bought most of mine from Kevin at
CFI.  He is a good guy to work with.

The gunslinger rifle holster was sent to me just before Elk season. I initially thought that it was a waste of space, no tactical use whatsoever.  I did think that it would be great for hunting.

The opposite was true.  Personally I disliked using it while hunting.  Once I got an elk, I felt it had value once I had to drag that thing out of the woods.

My grandfather really liked it, after he used it once, it was his for the rest of the trip.  He carries a stool, a heater, and a lunch box to his stand area, so he needed something to keep his rifle out of the way.  At one point we were walking up a steep incline & my grandpa looked at me & said "man this thing is a blessing, I can concentrate on walking & not have to worry about my rifle"  When he turned around I noticed his rifle was not in the rifle holster, but on his Ruger GP100!.  I didn't have the heart to tell him.

As far as tactically, would I use it?  No, however if one had more than one longarm, or they needed to fastrope into a situation, climb rocks, I can definately see a use for it.  It just  isn't my thing.  I spent too many years as a Cavalry scout, too much shit!  So now I limit all my gear to the bare necessities.er
