| Dorm Daze Three's Company: The Movie Ok...I actually had some extra time to think about how I was going to write this review because I saw this movie away from home and I am writing this two days after seeing it. The only way I see how to go about this is to just name the characters and what happens to them. The reason for this is because this is one of those movies where there are a shitload of characters involved and they all have their own stories, which criss-cross (who, by the way, makes me wanna jump-jump), and to try to sum up this movie would be confusing. So here goes. And the character's are gonna be listed in the order I wrote them down, the order they appear or importance. Booker, who is played by the red-headed kid Sherman from "American Pie", shares a dorm room with his brother Styles, who is this fat red headed kid who was in a bunch of movies in the 90's where he was a fat red headed kid. You'll know him when yo usee him. Styles wants Booker to lose his virginity because it looks bad for him because Styles is known as a "lady killer" on campus. So Styles ordered a hooker named Dominque. But Booker doesn't wanna go with a hooker because he's in love with this chick named Rachel. Marla and this chick who isn't given a name through the movie and I have a witness to this...so let's name her...Brandi, are two uptight bitches on campus who tattles on everyone. They hear about the prostitute and get rather upset about this. I think they were just jealous no one asked them to be the hookers. This other chick named Adrian is avoiding two people: this geeky guy named Newmar who looks like an adult version of the kid who plays Harry Potter, because she got drunk and made out with him the night before and he now wants her; and this black chick named Claire, because Adrian borrowed/stole her grandmother's handbag and now can't find it. Tony is dating Claire and is taking an acting class with Adrian where in the play Tony's character threaten's Adrian's character, and Marla and Brandi over hear this and tell Claire, whom they think is getting beaten by Tony because...dang, I'm making it complicated. There's a biker dude name Cliff who's just visiting a friend named Pete. Cliff doesn't wanna interact with anyone so Pete tells everyone that Cliff is from France and doesn't speak or know English. Well, this causes everyone to talk openly in front of him, so he hears all kinds of crazy shit. There's another chick named Jeri, who gets a package with a purse, that looks like Claire's grandmother's purse, full of money. Jeri calls the number attached and finds out it goes to a dude named Lorenzo, who thinks Jeri is some spy chick named Britney and the money is for a job. Jeri keeps up with the act to keep the money. Then there's the foriegn exchange student named Dominque... Wait, the hooker's name was Dominque... Well, that's the basis of this movie because there are two different chicks named Dominque, everyone gets them mixed up. Styles thinks the Foreign exchange student is the hooker and everyone else thinks the hooker is the exchange student. Basically: Newmar wants to give some French sausage to Adrian, but he gives it to the hooker, who thinks he's talking about his "wee-wee"; Foosball, the college gay guy, thinks Newmar is gay (long story); The hooker and Cliff hook up (no jokes, please) to get the money, then the hooker teams up with Tony to get the money; there's a large black dude outside waiting for the hooker to finish up; Style's gets tied up to a chair; Booker loses his virginity to Rachael; the real Britney the Spy reveals herself; Newmar and Adrian end up together and... Oh there is so much more. Oh, and there was nudity, at least in the unrated version. You get the idea though. None-the-less, I'm done!! I should point out that this movie was presented by National Lampoon, meaning the people who made this movie couldn't find any other movie company to distribute it, so National Lampoon was like "eh, whatever" and took it. Also, the whole reason I know about this movie is because my girlfriend saw the cover and said "Hey, that looks like the Harry Potter dude...why's he under a naked chick?" and I looked and I was like "Whoa!!" Then I played it off like I wasn't looking at the naked chick and said "Yeah...Harry Potter...weird...". So there you have it. Phew!!! 3 stars "Dorm Daze" on IMDb.com: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0362511/ |
