League officials would not comment publically, but sources within the league's Castle Shannon offices have stated that financial support for the team was sought through the league office and that no such support was currently being budgeted for in the upcoming season. The team does however intend to continue operations with the intention of competing next season. Team Public Relations Officials have launched the Dawg's Favorite Watering Hole Contest which should feature prominent local talent competing to be the Team's Bar Mascot. Team members are also continuing training with minor league affiliates throughout the region including squads in Warrendale, Neville Island and the Airport Arena. |
