Tillandsia species (a.k.a. Airplants)
The three smaller airplants in the Hotel are probably Tillandsia Trichomes. They are rough in appearance and are spiny, almost cactus-like to the touch. They need their roots to dry completely between mistings. If the roots are kept too wet, they will rot quickly, killing the plant.

Tillandsia (airplants) are epiphytes. Epiphytes are plants that grow on the limbs and leaves of other plants. They receive their nutrients through particulates in the air, not through roots in the soil. Therefore, airplants can be placed anywhere in a vivarium, other than on the ground.
