Quick Synopsis's

Here is where I will give a quick synopsis of each of the upcoming episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist (based upon the original anime). They are in order from first to last, to lessen the amount of potential spoilers. Also, I've decided that I will denote whether or not the chapter is represented in the manga, with the appropriate manga chapter numbers. Anything not in the manga will be denoted with "Filler."

Episode 1: "One Who Challenges the Sun / To Challenge the Sun" (Manga Chapter 1)
Edward and Alphonse Elric have arrived in the city of Lior, in the East. They hear of a priest named Cornello who can perform miracles, but could he actually be in possession of the one thing that they search for, the Philosopher's Stone?

Episode 2: "Condemned Body / Body of the Sanctioned" (Manga Chapter 2)
Cornello does indeed have what appears to be the Philosopher's Stone, but he'd rather kill Ed and Al than hand it over. Can they defeat him (and reveal his fraud) before he's able to pull it off?

Episode 3: "Mother" (Various bits and pieces throughout the manga)
Finally, the story on how Edward lost his arm and leg, and how Alphonse lost his entire body. ((Note: this is the start of a many-episode flashback))

Episode 4: "Creating Love / A Forger's Love" (Filler)
On route to Central City, where they can take the exams to become National Alchemists, Ed and Al find an alchemist trying to restore his lover to life, as well as village that is being haunted by a vengeful ghost.

Episode 5: "Full Speed Dash!! Automail / " (Manga Chapter 4)
Get on the earlier train? But it's leaving now! Once onboard, the Elric brothers get caught up in a hostage situation. But it seems that the train robbers have bitten off more than they can chew when one of them calls Ed 'short'.

Episode 6 (Manga Chapter 5)
To study for the upcoming State Alchemist's Ed and Al are put in the care of the 'Sewing Life Alchemist', Shou Tucker and his daughter Nina. But when Hughes' wife Gracia is about to deliver her baby with a blizzard outside, can two young alchemists handle it?

Episode 7 (Manga Chapter 5)
Ed's passed his State Alchemist exam, but now what? And what will Tucker do to pass his upcoming assessment?

Episode 8 (Filler)
There's a serial killer who specializes in killing women on the loose, who may or may not be related to the events of Episode 7. What? And Winry's coming to visit, too? ((Note: this may be the end of the many-episode flashback))

Episode 9 (Manga Chapter 3)
Ed's first mission as a State Alchemist is to go take care of a problem in a small mining town. But this town doesn't like State Alchemists, so what's a boy to do? ((Note: this may be the end of the many-episode flashback, or this may be the first of the 'back to present' episodes))

Episode 10 (Filler)
Ed and Al end up in a town that's been plagued by a notorious thief. Can the Elrics stop the thief, or will the thief stop them? ((Note: this episode is DEFINITELY back in the present time))

Episode 11 (Filler)
In the town of Xenotime ((heeheehee)), there is a substance known as 'red water,' that is rumored to be able to create the Philosopher Stone. The town's wealthiest man has said he will fund research into the red water, but there's just one problem: The Elric brothers are already researching for him!

Episode 12 (Filler)
Things aren't working out well in Xenotime ((heeheehee)), but can Ed and Al stop the imposters, save the town, AND find out the secret of the red water?

Episode 13 (Manga Gaiden Chapters 1 and 2)
Ed and Al have finally returned to East City, and Ed's got to give his report to Mustang. Oh, and there's this little thing about an assessment, too...

Episode 14 (Manga Chapter 6)
Receiving a lead on the Philosopher Stone from Mustang, Ed and Al think they're well on their way to fixing themselves. But who is the mysterious man who is out to kill all State Alchemists?
