08/08/03 - VOR intercepting and tracking. Nothing much to write about today. It was a pretty uneventful flight in the simulator. We did the usual stuff, climbs, turns, descents, to various headings and altitudes. On the flight back to the airport I tracked the localizer back inbound and got to see how that works. The needle really gets sensitive as you get closer to the runway. It was helpful to get an idea of how the localizer needle works with the GS on an approach. That wass about it for the flight.
