Picking up new engine
Finally loaded aboard Kevins 1988 Dodge, E.R.U. ( Engine Retrieval Unit), Stan Mosher (L) and Duane Deveaux (R) square the engine in the truck in preparation for the long trip home.  Kevin just gets to stand around taking pictures..The big engines piston and valves were badly stuck but otherwise it was in good shape.
Fine tuning
Here, Stan adjusts the air and fuel This engine now starts first time over, by hand runs nice and is building compression all the time.
Two sixes
After everything was freed up and ready to go, a little persuasion was required.Cranking by hand failed to produce the desired effect, so the 6 HP United was brought in and belted up.
At the Debert Show & Shine in May, 2001  member Kevin Davis bought this 6 HP Fairbanks-Morse from Duane Deveaux of Yarmouth. A couple weeks later Kevin & Stan Mosher set out on the road to Yarmouth to pick it up.
The boys had a great day. Lots of driving, looking around, sunshine & talk of engines. Duane showed them his collection and his latest engine (just delivered that day), an Acadia 4 HP in great shape. He has a beautiful place in Arcadia, just outside of Yarmouth.
F-M six from
Yarmouth
Kevins son Ryan, 7 yrs old, already has an interest in old iron.
