CoCo Lee on stage with international sex symbol Ricky Martin - - - - - - - CoCo was invited to appear as a surprise guest star for Ricky Martin's Concert Tour in Asia. The concerts would take place in early October 2000 and include Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. CoCo would travel with Ricky Martin for 3 of the 4 destinations. The Hong Kong concert started off with a blast on 10-09-2000. CoCo and Ricky sang a duet version of the song "Private Emotion" from Martin's Livin' La Vida Loca album. CoCo wore a sexy, gold pants-outfit with her hair down and curled. Next, CoCo travelled with Ricky to Taiwan where it seems as though she is the most comfortable. It is after all her "home" where she found her place on stage and became the mega-star that she is today. So of course, the concert was another success! This time CoCo chose to wear her curls half up for a softer effect to go with the elegant gold gown which she wore to perform the same duet with Ricky. Finally, the last stop, Korea. CoCo decided on the same gold dress which worked well with the song's tempo and feeling. She did however, opt for a funkier hairstyle -- a puffy, crimped wig. Apparently, the concert in Korea didn't go quite as smoothly for CoCo as it did the other ones. CoCo has many Korean friends and has also worked with other Korean artists. However, Korea was still more of an unfamiliar country and stage for her. In a later fan chat, when asked what her most embarrassing moment was, CoCo said, "When I was performing in Korea with Ricky, I was so nervous, I forgot the lyrics." She stated that initially, she repeated the same lyric 3 times! "But after that, I got over it," commented CoCo. - - - - - - - |
